What causes skin pigmention?
Over production of the melanin-protective system when the epidermis (top layers) of the skin is damaged. This leads to production and clumping of the melanin giving you the brown spots on your skin. The most common causes are listed below:
*Sun Exposure This the most common cause of hyperpigmention.
*Hormonal changes are responsible for the melasma and "pregnancy mask"
*Trauma to the skin.
